As most of you know, there was a rally about preventing climate change in downtown Vancouver last Friday. We really appreciated seeing how many people are passionate about this issue and it has inspired us to think of ways we can do more to prevent the effects of this global issue. We are challenging everyone here at EcoAction Recycling and would also like to challenge all of you to incorporate one environmentally friendly habit into our lives every week. We encourage everybody to #TakeEcoAction!!
For this first week of #TakeEcoAction, let’s start small by turning of the lights after we leave a room. Leaving the lights on when you are not in the room wastes electricity and causes more fossil fuels to be burned to produce that electricity. By turning off the lights we will also save on our hydro bills and since we live in Vancouver, we need every penny we can get! Good luck!
